Challenge context
NeuroLimits already had a solid local presence in Austin. The question was how to grow it: which local searches it could win, how much of the site Google could actually rank, and whether Business Profile activity was turning into calls and visits.
Starting point
- 26 of 46 known pages were not indexed, limiting how much of the site could compete
- Several high-intent local terms, such as autism testing, sat outside page one
- Impressions were growing faster than clicks, so CTR fell from 13.4% to 7.1%
- Website clicks from the Business Profile dropped from 124 to 97 between April and May
Implementation phases
- Phase 1Organic search: Search Console tracking across three-month periods and monthly snapshots, each kept to its own date range
- Phase 2Local SEO: nine Austin keywords tracked, led by Brain Training Austin at #1 and Brain Mapping and Neurofeedback Therapy Austin at #3
- Phase 3Google Business Profile: monthly reporting on calls, direction requests and website clicks, with calls up 88% and direction requests up 35% from April to May
- Phase 4Next phase from the May report: fix indexing, build service and location pages, grow local backlinks, and refine titles on high-impression, low-CTR queries
Use the framework, not just the headline number.
- Rising impressions with a falling CTR can still be growth: it means the site is showing for more searches. Report both honestly.
- Indexing is a ceiling. When 26 of 46 pages aren't indexed, fixing that comes before writing more content.
- Business Profile calls and direction requests are the clearest booking signals for a local clinic. Track them every month.

Case study FAQs
Is this a real client?
Yes. NeuroLimits is a real brain training and neurofeedback clinic in Austin, Texas. Every figure comes from its Google Search Console, Google Business Profile and May 2026 monthly report, shown in the screenshots below.
Why did CTR fall while clicks went up?
Impressions grew faster than clicks: from 3.31K to 7.27K, against clicks rising from 443 to 516. The site started showing for many more searches, so the average click rate fell even though more people visited.
Which Austin keywords ranked best?
Brain Training Austin ranked #1, Brain Mapping Austin and Neurofeedback Therapy Austin ranked #3, and QEEG, ADHD testing and ADHD assessment terms were also on page one. Autism Testing Austin, at #15, was the clearest next opportunity.
Can you do the same for a clinic in my city?
Yes. The approach is the same in any city: track the searches patients actually use, fix what stops pages being indexed, and keep the Business Profile active with posts, reviews and booking links.
